Well this week was a great week. On Wednesday we had our very last conference with President and Sister Caffaro and said goodbye to them. I will see President Caffaro again tomorrow though for my last interview with him.
Thursday I had divisions in Montufar with Elder Davis. We had contacted all afternoon with no success and in the night Elder Davis did not know what we should do as he still did not know the area very well. He did not know any of the members or investigators so we were just kind of walking around helplessly. I had been on divisions in Montufar a couple of times so I kind of knew the area but not really. I told Elder Davis that there was one thing we had not yet done. We found a quiet place where not a lot of people were walking by and we offered a prayer asking the Lord to guide us to someone that needed a visit from us. We asked him to make us instruments in his hands. As we finished the prayer I thought of someone that I had visited once on divisions with Elder Svedberg. I only kind of remembered where they lived but we went out to look for them being guided by the spirit. I found the street which they lived on but I could not remember what house it was. I felt prompted to knock on a door so I did, unsure who was going to open or what I was going to say. It turns out the door I knocked on was a member family. We explained that we were looking for someone on the street the missionaries were teaching before but they did not know who it could be so we asked if we could share a message with them and get to know them a little. They gladly let us in. We shared a short message and at the end of the visit the Mom of the family expressed how they had been passing through some hard times and that our visit had been an answer to her prayers and had brought her great peace and joy. I am glad that I was willing and worthy to be able to receive revelation from the Lord, to be an instrument in his hands and to be an answer to someones prayer. On Saturday we had a baptism which went really well and on Sunday I had the opportunity to confirm her a member of the church and give her the gift of the holy ghost. I also woke up at 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning throwing up with major stomach pains. All day I was a little sick and had awful diarrhea. I do not feel nauseous anymore and have been able to eat but i still have a little stomach pain and major diarrhea. All through the night I would wake up running to the bathroom. Who knows, I might just have a parasite or some bacteria... we will have to wait and see. I am doing great though and enjoying every moment. I am truly having the best day of my life! -- Having the best day of his life, Elder Gruber
