Just a normal week. Nothing to new happened. Things in the office have gotten better and are back to normal. I realized I will never be an accountant as I hate having to keep track of all the money and if we are spending too much or money is missing it is all my fault.
Our investigator Teresa is doing great. She is in the process of getting married to live within the law of chastity, so the Baptism was pushed back a little, but she has such a strong testimony and I know she will be baptized soon. Another reason I think I am gaining weight aside from the fast food is that Teresa gives us a large dinner every other night with food to bring home and recently members have given us food every night when we visit them. Not complaining about the food, but dinner at 8 pm is not the healthiest thing especially when it is not healthy food to start with. These last two weeks president has sent 7 missionaries home for disobedience to the rules. He is really putting an emphasis on being obedient with exactness. It is not a one time thing and your out, he really gives missionaries a lot of chances- but when they go to the church building, use the church projector and watch Super man vs. Batman, there is not a whole lot more you can do. He is saying how one can be a good member of the church and not be a good missionary. Also I'm glad I know how to change a tire as we were walking to a lesson this last week and saw a guy on the side of the road with a flat struggling to get his tire off. We were able to help him change his tire and get him back on his way. The best part is he lives in our area and called us later saying he wanted to come to our church to see what it is all about. Service truly does never fail. also got pooped on by bird this last week, how awesome is that. Well that is about it for the week. Challenge: Alma 48: 17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men. 18 Behold, he was a man like unto Ammon, the son of Mosiah, yea, and even the other sons of Mosiah, yea, and also Alma and his sons, for they were all men of God. 19 Now behold, Helaman and his brethren were no less serviceable unto the people than was Moroni; for they did preach the word of God, and they did baptize unto repentance all men whosoever would hearken unto their words. I challenge you to be like Captain Moroni and Ammon and serve those around you. I challenge you each night and each morning in your prayers to ask the lord for an opportunity to serve someone the next day/that day. I promise you the lord will place in your path those that need a helping hand. It is up to you to listen to the whispers of the Holy Ghost and ACT. I know that as you do this and serve someone everyday you and their lives will be blessed greatly. Remember service can come in many forms and sometimes it is just listening and showing interese to someone passing through a difficult time. I would love to hear about one way you served in the week. -- Having the best day of his life, Elder Gruber
